Experiment to better innovate : the Orange 5G Lab program is being moved and set-up for the first time at VivaTech
For VivaTech, with its "off-site" Orange 5G Lab, Orange is presenting innovations and start-ups focusing on 5G and its new, useful and responsible applications.
Michaël Trabbia, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Orange, will present an overview of the program and its ambitions at a press conference on Wednesday, June 15 at 2 p.m. in the Orange Carré Débat, in the company of start-ups that will present the projects they have developed thanks to Orange 5G Lab. These include:
- Vrombr : an e-sport application, that enables players to use their 5G smartphone to remotely control a 1/10th scale racing car on a real track located anywhere in the world using the 5G network.
- SkyBoy : uses augmented reality and 360° to offer an immersive experience in which the visitor is transported to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. They can experience the competition sites and much more using a tablet.
- Wyca Robotics : develops autonomous robots for industry and retail. Equipped with a 360° camera and connected to 5G, these robots can handle new uses such as visiting real locations remotely.
- Eternal Notre-Dame : this demonstration invites the audience to go on an immersive journey through the legendary cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris. This revolutionary innovation enables visitors to discover the key stages in the cathedral’s history, from its construction in the Middle Ages to the current restoration. The demonstration is based on the combined power of 5G, with its extremely low latency and Cloud XR, cloud streaming technology for extended reality.
