Orange launches the Djingo Speaker1 and a voice-controlled TV remote for customers with an ultra HD set up box, already used by 1.5 million customers. Orange’s Djingo voice assistant offers a smooth, natural and secure experience when using its services and those provided by its partners.

Services are simplified with the Djingo Speaker, Orange’s multiservice assistant

The Djingo Speaker, developed with Deutsche Telekom, is a vocal speaker which includes the virtual assistant Djingo. Intuitive and user friendly, it is the privileged interface for all Orange services. Available for €99.992,  the Djingo Speaker allows you to make hands-free phone calls, navigate Orange TV using voice commands, listen to music on Deezer and Orange Radio and control light bulbs and smart plugs with “Maison Connectée”. You can also use it to update your shopping list, consult the Météo-France weather forecast, and receive news updates from franceinfo.

The Djingo Speaker also allows Orange customers to use Amazon’s virtual assistant, Alexa, to access additional services such as searching for general and cultural information, games, road traffic, and the Skills3 available on Alexa.

To activate the Djingo Speaker, simply say “Ok Djingo, what is the weather in Paris?”, “Ok Djingo, play some music”, or “Ok Djingo, what comedies are there on TV tonight?” And to access Alexa, simply say “Alexa, what’s on at the cinema this week?”

Orange TV has become even easier to navigate with Djingo’s voice-controlled remote

The Djingo voice assistant is also available4 to nearly 1.5 million Orange customers with the ultra HD TV set-top box. The remote allows you to navigate Orange TV services using voice commands and by simply touching the microphone button to change channels, search for an Orange VOD film, or ask what is on TV tonight.

"Interacting with your Orange services by voice is now possible. By investing in natural language technologies, we are offering with Djingo the choice of an ever simpler and more fluid user experience." says Mari-Noëlle Jégo-Laveissière, Deputy CEO, Chief Technology and Global Innovation Officer.

Orange, the trusted operator for your data

Orange ensures the protection, confidentiality and security of its users’ personal data and its services (in compliance with with the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data). The Djingo Speaker microphone can be deactivated at any time using a physical button at the back of the device.
